Position: Yard Worker
Job description
Ottawa Valley Metal Inc is looking for new team members to help us deliver top quality service to our customers.
Qualifications:
Willingness to learn, we will teach you the rest!
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers and suppliers in professional and courteous manner
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
- Perform order picking and packing tasks to ensure accurate and timely shipment of products
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting for damages, and recording discrepancies
- Help record inventory and maintain stock levels
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards
- Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed
Skills:
At OVM, we are happy to provide full training!
- Able to work well independently
- A forklift license is not required but an asset. Training can be provided by OVM.
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift metal bundles up to 10ft and up to 80 lbs to load/unload into truck boxes and trailers safely
- Will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures when working outdoors.
- PPE provided by Ottawa Valley Metal Inc.
